PM, Modi to attend IIM-A convocation

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will share the dais with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad.

will share the dais with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi
at the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of
Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on Saturday.

The top business school, celebrating its golden
jubilee, had invited the Prime Minister to be the chief guest
at the ceremony and the invitation has been accepted by him.

Governor Kamla and Modi will also be present at the event.
Singh will be the third Prime Minister to preside over
the IIM-A`s convocation function after Indira Gandhi (1968)
and PV Narasimha Rao (1993).

The PM is slated to deliver the convocation address,
an IIM-A official said.

Singh is also scheduled to visit ISRO facilities
located on Satellite Road here and interact with scientists.

Tight security arrangements have been made for the
PM`s visit, police officials said.
