Prajapati encounter: Court refuses narco test on Rajasthan cops

A local court today rejected a demand made by police to conduct narco test of four former Rajasthan Police personnel, who are accused in the fake encounter case of Tulsi Prajapti.

Banaskantha: A local court today
rejected a demand made by police to conduct narco test of four
former Rajasthan Police personnel, who are accused in the fake
encounter case of Tulsi Prajapti, a close aide of Sohrabuddin
Sheikh.

However, judge S S Joshi extended police custody of
the four cops for two more days.

The four policemen were produced before the court
on expiry of their 10-day remand here today.

Former ASI Nararayansingh Fateh Singh Chauhan, Dalapat
Singh Khumansingh Rathod, Kartarsingh yadram Jat, and
Yuddhaveersingh Nathusingh Rajput were posted at Udaipur
police station when Tulsi`s encounter took place.

Tulsi, a key witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake
encounter case was killed by Gujarat police in an encounter
near Ambaji in Danta taluka of Banaskantha district when he
tried to escape from custody while being shifted from
Rajasthan to Gujarat in December 2006.

Police have arrested IPS officer Vipul Agarawal in the
case, while IPS officers D G Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandian and
Dinesh M N, who are accused in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter
case are also accused in the Prajapati encounter case.
