Samajwadi Party declares second list for UP assembly polls

Samajwadi Party Friday released names of 47 candidates in its second list for the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party Friday released
names of 47 candidates in its second list for the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

"We are releasing a list of 47 candidates. With this
we have declared a total of 212 candidates for the Assembly
polls," SP state president Akhilesh Yadav told reporters here.

When asked whether there was any changes made in the first list, Yadav said no changes has been made as of now.
Notable candidates in the list include Ravidas Malhotra (Lucknow), Suresh Chauhan (Lucknow Cant) and former
UP minister Arvind Singh Gope (Ramnagar).

The Mulayam Singh Yadav-led party had in its first
list declared 165 candidates for the polls to the 403-member
state Assembly.
