Six killed in road mishap

An FIR has been registered against the Rajkot bus driver who is absconding and further investigations are on.

Anand: Six persons were killed and 15 others injured when two luxury buses collided with each other in Borsad taluka here on Tuesday morning, police said.

The incident took place near Dabhasi village when a bus
proceeding towards Bhavnagar, collided head-on with another
bus from Rajkot which was moving on the wrong side of the
road, they said.

Five persons died on the spot due to the impact of the
collision, while one person succumbed to his injuries at a
hospital in Vadodara while undergoing treatment.

The injured have been admitted to the government hospital
in Borsad and Karamsad, while those critical have been
referred to Vadodara Civil hospital, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Vallabh Patel
(47), Jignesh Gosai (30), Karamsinh Katrodia (70), Mohan
Chudasama (38), Ramesh Kupadiya and Mohammad Yusuf (37),
police said.
