Ahmedabad: RSS will hold a three-day meeting of its top functionaries near Vadodara from September 7 in the backdrop of Congress-BJP stand-off over coal block allocations and talks of early polls.
"Top 60 functionaries will focus on the present situation of the country and review functioning of RSS. They will also formulate future strategies in the meeting," an RSS release said here today.
"Such a meeting is organised once in every 2 to 3 years. The conclave assumes significance as this will be last such meeting before the 2014 general elections," a source said.
Besides RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, other functionaries who will attend the meet at Kayavarohan near Vadodara include Bhayaji Joshi, Suresh Soni, Dattatreya Hosbole, Krishan Gopal and K C Kannan, it added.
