Two arrested for kidnap and murder of teenager in Gujarat
Two persons have been arrested in connection with kidnapping and murder of a teenager from Sanand town for ransom, whose body was recovered today from a well on the outskirts of a village near here, police said.

Sanand town for ransom, whose body was recovered today from a
well on the outskirts of a village near here, police said.
"One Dilawar Mir from Karjan taluka of Vadodara
district, and Sunil Patel from Sanand town have been arrested,
while two others involved in the conspiracy of abduction and
murder of Shaktisinh Jhala (16) are absconding," Deputy
Superintendent of Police M M Malek told agency.
"Patel, who was friend of the victim was the one who
called him on a phone on Tuesday and asked him to come out
with him, after which the later went missing," he said, adding
the search was on to nab the two more absconding accused.
Shaktisinh, grandson of a prominent land broker from
Sanand taluka, went missing since Tuesday night. His parents
had filed a complaint with the Sanand police yesterday.
Police said the parents received a phone call last
night asking them to pay Rs two crore as ransom for the boy`s
His body was recovered from a well on the outskirts of
Goraj village in Sanand today.
"The body found in the well on the outskirts of Goraj
village is that of 16-year-old Shaktisinh Jhala who was
missing since Tuesday evening...The throat has been slit and
the body was thrown in the well," said Sanand police inspector
M N Jhala.
The body has been fished out and sent to civil
hospital for postmortem, he said.
Following the recovery of the body of the teenager,
people of the town shouted slogans against police and accused
them of negligence.
According to police, over 5000 people from the town
surrounded the Sanand police station and pelted stones at the
policemen guarding the premises.
A couple of policemen were injured in the incident,
they said, adding a company of State Reserve Police (SRP) was
called in to take control of the situation.
People`s anger was calmed down after intervention of
top police officials and local leaders, they said.
