Faridabad: The Haryana government will transfer pensions under various social security schemes directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries.
State Chief Secretary Sunil Gulati informed all Deputy Commissioners, sub-divisional magistrates, bank managers and district social welfare officers of the decision during a meeting through video-conferencing.
Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad Amit Kumar Agrawal said the Chief Secretary has instructed to transfer pension under all the schemes prevailing at the time directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
This procedure, the Deputy Commissioner said, would come into effects from March 2015.
For this, said Agrawal, all the pensioners would be required to open their accounts in banks. If pensioners already have bank accounts, they have to add their pension account number in their bank accounts.
