Gurgaon: A bomb scare at Gurgaon's Huda City Centre Metro Station on Wednesday evening alerted the police, prompting them to heighten the security around the area and conduct search operation.
However, the phone call, which said that a bomb has been planted at the basement of the station and two other places, turned out to be a hoax as no explosives were recovered at the informed locations.
The police, after receiving a call informing of planting of bombs in three places - Huda City Centre Metro Station, Vyapar Kendra in Sushant Lok area and Galleria Market in New Gurgaon - had evacuated the locations.
The train services at the Huda City Centre Metro Station were affected by over an hour after the bomb threat. At around 3:30 pm, the police stopped commuters from entering the metro station as it had launched a search operation to find the bomb.
People were cleared out by the police at the other two locations in Gurgaon as well.
