The ongoing cold conditions relented in most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday, with the minimum temperatures settling above normal limits in the region.

Chandigarh: The ongoing cold conditions relented in most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday, with the minimum temperatures settling above normal limits in the region.

The minimum temperatures hovered between one to five degrees Celsius above normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said here.

Several parts of the region had brightshine today even as few places, including Bhiwani and Hisar, had fog in the morning hours.

Ludhiana settled at a low of 10.7 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal while Bhiwani had a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius.

Among other places, Ambala had a low of 9.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal followed by 9.2 degrees Celsius each at Chandigarh and Patiala, two notches above normal, 8.7 degrees Celsius at Hisar, one notch above normal, 7.8 degrees Celsius at Narnaul, two notches above normal and 6.3 degrees Celsius at Amritsar, one notch above normal.

The MeT forecast sunny days ahead with foggy conditions in the morning at a few places and rise in minimum temperatures in the region during the next 48 hours.
