Union Territory Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, had a low of 10.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, a MeT department report said today.
Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Narnaul recorded their minimum temperatures at 9.5 degrees Celsius, 10.6 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively, rising by up to three notches above normal.
Minimum temperatures of Bhiwani and Karnal settled at 10.6 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
In neighbouring Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their minimum temperatures at 9.8 degrees Celsius and 10.6 degrees Celsius, up to two degrees above normal.
However, Amritsar recorded its minimum at 4 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
Yesterday, the maximum temperatures hovered between 21 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.
MeT department has predicted dry weather conditions in the next 24 hours in Punjab and Haryana.
