Haryana has completed the construction of 7,300 hotel rooms to cater tourists arriving for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

construction of 7,300 hotel rooms to cater tourists arriving
for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, even as neighbouring
Delhi grapples to reach its target.
In a release issued here today, Deputy Commissioner
(Gurgaon) Rajender Kataria, the nodal officer for districts
falling in NCR region, said that the number of hotel rooms was
likely to increase to 7,500.
The state was given a target of constructing 6,700
According to the Centre`s decision, tax concession
would be extended to those hotels which would be ready by July
31, 2010. The concession, alloted to one to four-star hotels,
would continue for the next five years.
Kataria also held a meeting with owners of hotels
which were constructed or under-construction in Gurgaon,
Faridabad, Rewari and Sonipat districts.
Full cooperation was being extended to hotel owners in
completing all kinds of formalities at the earliest, he added.
