New Delhi: Former Indian National Lok Dal
(INLD) leaders Sampat Singh and Sushil Kumar Indora, who
recently joined Congress, were among the list of 17
candidates, which was released by Congress here tonight for
Haryana assembly elections.
The list also included former deputy Prime Minister
Devi Lal`s son Ranjit Singh, who has been named as the party`s
candidate from Rania seat.
Sampat Singh, a close aide of INLD chief Om Prakash
Chautala, has been named as Congress candidate from Nalwa
while Indora has been named from Kalanwali reserved seat.
With the release of this list, the party has now
announced candidates for 85 out of the total 90 assembly seats
in Haryana. This was the second list released by Congress as
it had announced a list of 68 candidates earlier this week for
the state.
Haryana goes to polls on October 13.
The other names include Devender Chawla (Yamunanagar),
Tajinder Pal Mann (Kalayat), Ramesh Chaudhary (Assandh),
Balbir Singh Balmiki (Israna-SC), Ram Kishan Bairagi
(Safidon), Ram Phal Lot (Narwana-SC), Jarnail Singh
(Ratia-SC), Bharat Singh Beniwal (Ellenabad), Ram Kumar Gautam
(Narnaund), Chhatra Pal Singh (Hansi), Nirpender Singh Sangwan
(Dadri), Sanjay Singh Yadav (Narnaul), Shakuntala Bagwaria
(Bawal-SC) and Lalit Nagar (Tigaon).
