New Delhi: A Delhi court today granted regular bail to Ajay Chautala, a Harayan MLA and son of former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, in a disproportionate assets case.

Special CBI Judge P S Teji allowed the application of Chautala, who was on interim bail, for regular bail on furnishing a personal and a surety of Rs one lakh each.

The court also granted regular bail to co-accused Chetram, Om Prakash, Abhimanyu Singh, Rajender Kumar and Netram.

All the accused had to mandatorily seek bail on their appearance before the court which took cognisance of the chargesheets filed by CBI against them.

CBI had on December 24 filed a chargesheet against the two sons of Om Prakash Chautala -- Ajay and Abhay -- in the case.

According to the chargesheet against Ajay, CBI claimed he was in possession of assets to the tune of Rs 27.74 crore -- 339 per cent more than his income Rs 8.17 crore during the period of 1993 to 2006.
