Gates to be installed at unmanned rail crossings in Haryana

 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that soon gates will be installed at all 110 unmanned railway crossings in the state to prevent untoward incidents.

Sonepat: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that soon gates will be installed at all 110 unmanned railway crossings in the state to prevent untoward incidents.

Apart from this, Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) would be constructed wherever possible and for this, the state government has completed all formalities with Railway Ministry, Khattar said adding that the work on this project would be started as soon as they receive funds.

The Chief Minister stated this at the inauguration of ROB on Gohana Road, costing about Rs 24 crore.

Khattar also said that he had a word with the Railway Ministry regarding the stoppage of Shatabdi train at Sonepat Railway Station and that 50 benches would be installed at the station premises out of Member of Parliament funds.

Khattar made several announcements while promising that his government would undertake all round development by doing away with caste and 

region-based discrimination.
He said there will be solid waste management plants in every district in the state under 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', besides promising to set up a government college for girls in Sonepat and a town park on 17 acres of land in Sector 16.

He also announced to give Rs five crore for strengthening the sewerage system of the city.
