Haryana: ASI shot dead in Jhajjar
An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Haryana Police was found murdered in a farm in Bahadurgarh Sadar area of the district.
Jhajjar: An Assistant Sub-Inspector
(ASI) of Haryana Police was found murdered in a farm in
Bahadurgarh Sadar area of the district, police said.
Bijender, a native of Kasaar village, was posted at
Jhajjar and was missing since last evening, police said.
His bullet-ridden body was spotted by some villagers
on Friday in a farm on Noona Majra-Kasar road of Bahadurgarh Sadar
area, police added.
A case has been registered on complaint of the deceased`s
brother Surender, who said some persons of his village whose
candidate had lost in the panchayat poll to the Bijender`s
wife Sunita Devi were responsible for the murder, police said.
Surender has also alleged that killers have fled with
Bijender`s Santro car, Rs 50,000, a gold chain and a ring
after perpetrating the crime.
People of Kasaar village blocked the National Highway
demanding immediate arrest of the killers however they were
persuaded later by Bahadurgarh SDM Narhari Bangar and DSP
Rajeev Deswal who reached the spot.
"Exact cause behind the murder is yet to be ascertained
but we have got some valuable clues in this regard which may
help crack the murder mystery," Jhajjar Superintendent of
Police Sourav Singh said.
The body has been sent to civil hospital for post-mortem
and investigations into the matter is on, the SP added.
