Haryana govt to regularise 3,000 colonies

Haryana Government has identified about 3,000 colonies all over the state where work is being undertaken under a special formula to regularise them.

Rewari: Haryana Government has identified about 3,000 colonies all over the state where work is being undertaken under a special formula to regularise them.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said at the 'Vikas rally' that the regularisation would pave the way for providing basic facilities like power, road, sewer and water in these colonies.

The rally was held to celebrate the first anniversary of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, and completion of six-month tenure of the Haryana Government.

Referring to railway projects, the Chief Minister said that the Railway Ministry and the state government would jointly plan railway projects in the state.

"Earlier, only the Railway Ministry used to plan all projects which resulted in lot of pendency," he said.

He said that money had been approved for construction of railway over-bridges and railway under-bridges and accepted the long pending demand of Rewari city for the construction of an underpass at a cost of Rs 20 crore. An underpass would also be built at Kosli railway station.
