Chandigarh: The Speaker of Haryana Assembly
on Monday suspended the entire opposition for the remainder of the
Budget Session after it created ruckus in the House over
disallowing an adjournment motion.

Speaker HS Chatha suspended 35 MLAs present in the House
for nine days till March 16 after they forced adjournment of
the House on three occasions in one hour. Those faced action
included 31 MLAs of INLD, lone member of its ally from
Shiromani Akali Dal and three of BJP.

The fourth MLA of the BJP, Kavita Jain was not present in
the House. The lone BSP legislator, Akram Khan, and seven
Independents are supporting the government in the 90-member
Assembly.

When the Question Hour began in the afternoon, BJP
legislature party leader Anil Vij sought to know the fate of
his adjournment motion notice given on price rise issue.

The Speaker said the issue could not be raised during the
Question Hour and that it could be considered later.

When Vij raised the matter again during the Zero Hour, the
Speaker informed him that it had been disallowed, but he could
raise the issue with INLD, whose adjournment motion over price
rise had been converted into a call attention notice and stood
admitted.
