Faridabad: A parents body here will launch a series of protests against hike in school fee by private schools.
In a meeting held yesterday, Haryana Abhibhavak Ekta Manch decided to launch protests against the fee hike and laid out an action plan for countering the monopoly of the private schools, General Secretary of the Manch, Kailash Sharma said.
The agitation would be launched on March 22 with protests outside the residence of Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma at Mahendragarh, he said, adding, protest will also be launched at the camp office of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Karnal.
The major issues highlighted by the platform include arbitrary increase in fee by the private schools, selling uniforms and stationery inside the school premises on a higher rate than the market, among others.

"We would also be protesting outside the houses of the MLAs attending the functions of the erring schools as Chief Guest," Sharma added.
Three letters have already been sent to the chief minister for a meeting with the association representatives but no response has been received from his office yet, he said.
Faridabad MP Krishna Pal Gurjar and MLAs Seema Trikha, Vipul Goel and Moolchand Sharma were also informed of the situation and were presented with a memorandum.
