Haryana police solves murder case

The Haryana Police claimed to have solved the murder case of Sahil alias Ashu, who was killed on April 18 over a love affair.

Chandigarh: The Haryana Police on Sunday claimed to have solved the murder case of Sahil alias Ashu, who was killed on April 18 over a love affair.

Sahil, a resident of Taraori in Karnal district, was passing through Pahalwan colony with his friend Pulkit Chawla on April 18 when he was attacked on the head. He later died in a hospital, a police spokesman said.

A case was registered on the complaint of the deceased`s uncle, Nand Kishore Chutani, following which a special team was constituted to probe the murder case, he said.

Sahil had an affair with the sister of Mukesh, who made several attempts to kill Sahil and ultimately succeeded with the help of one of his close friends, Vishal, who gave Rs 10,000 to Adarsh to kill Sahil.

During investigation, Adarsh admitted that he had killed Sahil with the help of Gagandeep and Krishan as per the directions of Vishal, police said.
Mukesh is currently pursuing studies in New Zealand.
