An organisation representing Jats in Haryana today demanded reservation in state government jobs for its community members.

Jind: An organisation representing Jats in Haryana today demanded reservation in state government jobs for its community members.

The demand was made by All India Jat Mahasabha (AIJM)
at a rally organised on the birth anniversary of former Prime
Minister late Chaudhary Charan Singh.

Reservations had been provided to the community in UP,
Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and several other states in
the country, AIJM spokesman Tara Chand Mor said.

"But it has been denied to Jats of Haryana," he said,
adding that the community would start an agitation if they
were "denied" reservation.

Various speakers demanded that reservation be given to
Jats on the lines of some other states which had implemented
the same for the community.
