Judge visits Mirchpur village

A judge, hearing the Mirchpur case in a court in Delhi, on Saturday visited the village, the scene of violence in April last year, in Haryana`s Hisar district.

Hisar: A judge, hearing the Mirchpur case in a court in Delhi, on Saturday visited the village, the scene of violence in April last year, in Haryana`s Hisar district.

A 70-year-old man and his teenaged daughter, who was physically challenged, were burnt alive when an unruly mob set ablaze 26 dalit houses on April 21 last year.

Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau visited the affected locality and saw the burnt houses.
IGP (Hisar Range) AK Dhull, Deputy Commissioner Amit Aggrawal, SP Hanif Qureshi and other senior officers were present when the judge visited the village.

A court in Rohini is hearing the Mirchpur case.
