Sonepat (Haryana): A man was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping his minor daughter repeatedly for last five months at Kanwali village in Sonepat district.
Shyamlal, a truck driver, sexually assaulted his daughter for last five months and beaten his family members while threatening them of dire consequences in case they reveal the incident to anyone, police said.
The accused, a drunkard, committed the offence for months under the influence of alcohol, they said.
The incident came to light when the girl narrated the ordeal to her maternal uncle and lodged a complaint against the accused, they said.
On the basis of the complaint, police nabbed the accused and a case has been registered in this regard, they added.
