In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a low of 11.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.

Patiala registered a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal while Ludhiana's low settled at 13.4 degrees Celsius, also up three degrees.

Chandigarh's minimum hovered six notches above normal at 15.2 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department report said here.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 14.1 degrees Celsius, up five degrees than normal.

Hisar's minimum settled four notches above normal to settle at 14.2 degrees Celsius while Karnal recorded a low of 13.4 degrees Celsius, up four notches than normal.

Yesterday, the maximum temperatures hovered between 23 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers have been forecast at isolated places in the two states until tomorrow.
