MLAs, bureaucrats to take part in Ramdev's Yoga camp: Anil Vij

 Ahead of a state-level function to be organised on the occasion of International Yoga Day in Karnal on June 21, Yoga Guru, Ramdev will be conducting a two-day training camp at Panchkula on June 15-16, in which Haryana legislators cutting across parties will be invited.

Chandigarh: Ahead of a state-level function to be organised on the occasion of International Yoga Day in Karnal on June 21, Yoga Guru, Ramdev will be conducting a two-day training camp at Panchkula on June 15-16, in which Haryana legislators cutting across parties will be invited.

"Before the state level function at Karnal, Baba Ramdev will be conducting this two-day Yoga training programme at Panchkula. For this, we will be inviting all the (90) MLAs from the State and senior IAS officers posted at Chandigarh," Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij said on Thursday.

Vij further said, "We are also trying to invite the High Court judges, lawyers and even journalists to attend the Yoga training camp".

Notably, Ramdev had been appointed as brand ambassador for promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda by the BJP Government in the State.

About the Karnal function, Vij said a state-level function will be organised on International Yoga Day and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would be the chief guest where about 21,000 yoga trainees would participate.

The preparations and training for the function is being supervised by Patanjali Yogpeeth, he said, adding that it would be free and anybody could participate.

"Likewise, we will also have functions in various districts on June 21 and 2,100 yoga trainees will take part from each district," he added.
