There are over 3,800 Proclaimed Offenders across Haryana with Palwal district listing the maximum 791.

Offenders across Haryana with Palwal district listing the
maximum 791.

As per official record, as many as 3,807 POs across the
state are out of police arrest while names of 62 POs are
registered in the record of Government Railway Police.

Rohtak Police Range covering five districts -- Rohtak,
Jhajjar, Sonepat, Panipat and Karnal -- have 926 POs.

Faridabad has 478 people listed as Proclaimed Offenders
followed by Hisar district with 367 law breakers.

Fatehabad is the only district where the number of POs
does not reach the double figure mark.

A senior police official who did not wish to be named
said the Haryana Police had insufficient staff and it was not
possible for the police to keep a tab on the activities of
friends and family members of the POs.
