Rahul said that the Congress party will fight to save the pro-poor legislations introduced by the Congress-led UPA government.

The Congress leader also accused the Modi government of having failed to safeguard the country at the borders.

“Chinese Army was in our country, and our PM was 'swinging' with the Chinese President, he did not say a word,” Rahul said.

Praising the people of Haryana, Rahul said that they are second to none, adding that the Congress is proud of the progress made by the state in the last ten years..

Referring to the contribution of farmers, soldiers from the sate and its sports persons, Rahul said, “There should be a new slogan for Haryana - Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan aur Jai Pahalwaan".

“Our soldiers are at the borders, our farmers toil in the fields, but then one neta comes and says that nothing happened in 60 years?,” he said.

“Today India has been recognized and respected by the entire world, this has not been done by one single person, but you,” he added.
