Chandigarh: Aimed at improving teaching
skills and providing quality education to children, Haryana
Education Department has proposed a Teacher Evaluation
Strategy.
Under the proposed scheme, teachers would be evaluated on
three counts - self-appraisal, management's evaluation and
grading and management's suggestions, an official spokesman
said.
Of the total 100 marks, 50 marks would be for students'
results, 20 for assessment of Principal and 10 each for
assessment of School Management and Development Committee
(SDMC) besides additional professional qualifications acquired
during the year and minimum training attended during the year.
The evaluation would be done twice a year at the end of
each semester, he added.
