Rohtak: Three officials of Haryana Forest
Department have been placed under suspension in connection
with the killing of ten deer at a Deer Park in Meham Town,
around 30 KM from here today.
District Forest Officer (DFO), Rohtak Range, Jagdish
Chander, said Wildlife Inspector Rajender Punia, Wildlife
Guard Charan Singh and night watchman Randhir Singh were
suspended on the basis of a preliminary inquiry conducted by
the DFO, Hisar Range, Shakti Singh.
Prima-facie, all three had reportedly been found guilty
in the inquiry report, he added.
Ten deer were found dead and four other were in an injured
state at the park on Saturday morning. The incident had come
to light when night watchman Randhir Singh, posted there,
heard cawing of crows hovering over the park and saw a herd of
stray dogs fighting for carcasses of deer inside the park.
