Transparent, corruption-free governance is priority: Haryana minister
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday said it was priority of the state government to provide transparent and corruption-free governance to the people, saying action would be taken against officials who are found guilty of irregularities.

While inspecting all the branches of Municipal Corporation here, he issued directions to take stern action against the officials concerned who were found guilty of irregularities.
He said: "It is priority of the state government to provide transparent and corruption free governance to the people and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard".
Taking serious note of the 141 pending complaints, the health minister directed to seal the register and send the same to the chief minister for the further action.
He said action would be taken after investigation against those officials who had not disposed off complaints on time.
Similarly, Vij directed to seal the register of lease branch of municipal corporation containing pending record of MC shops rent and send it to Deputy Commissioner for further investigation.
During the inspection of MC office in the morning, the minister checked the attendance register and directed to suspend a contractual employee who has marked himself present but was not present on his seat.
He demanded explanation from a sanitary inspector who was not present on his seat and directed to carry out investigation against a clerk for not sending pension cases on time.
While checking the birth and death records branch, Vij found that birth and death certificates were not issued to people on time and said that action would be taken against officers after getting the matter investigated.
Also, he checked the items procured by the MC office in establishment branch and directed to maintain transparency in it.
He directed to carry out investigation against the employee concerned for not sending pension cases of retired employees of the branch on time.
Likewise, the minister also directed to cancel the contract of renovation work of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Park as it has not been started on time.
During the inspection of Public Health branch, Vij reviewed the procedure of water bills and redressal of pending complaints and directed to mention serial number on notices being sent to people.
In relation to about 1,000 pending files in Excise area related to the year 2006 in mutation branch, he directed that no matter should be kept pending without reason.
Similarly, during inspection of lease branch, the minister found that over Rs one crore which was to be recovered, was pending. He said that the pending development works could be completed by recovering this money.
