Two arrested, ammunition seized in Haryana

Haryana Police have arrested two persons from Kherdi Mor village in Faridabad district and seized nine live cartridges, a country made pistol and two empty shells from their possession.

Chandigarh: Haryana Police have arrested two persons from Kherdi Mor village in Faridabad district and seized nine live cartridges, a country made pistol and two empty shells from their possession.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided their hideout today, a spokesman of the Haryana police said here.

As the police team approached the hideout and challenged them, they opened fire, he said.

No one was injured in the incident. The accused, who were identified as Hari Om and Jafru, both residents of Khedi Kalan area surrendered before the police, the spokesman said.

A case has been registered against them under various sections of the IPC and Arms Act.
