Faridabad: A woman was allegedly raped by an acquaintance and his accomplice at her residence in the city's Sector III area, police said on Tuesday.
The mother of two children was alone at home yesterday when Rashid, hailing from her native place of Nuh in Mewat district, arrived with Abdul Wahid on the pretext of concluding a car deal with her husband.
Finding the woman alone at home, the duo raped her, police said.
Alerted by the woman's cries for help, two of her neighbours rushed to her aid, they said. Rashid managed to flee, but Wahid was caught and handed over to police.
A search is on to nab Rashid, police said.
