Washington: Drugs used for cancer treatment may also help in combating antibiotic resistance, a new study has revealed.The study, led by Gerry Wright, scientific director of the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research at McMaster University revealed that certain proteins that cause antibiotic resistance are structurally related to proteins vital in cancer.
