41-year-old woman dies of swine flu in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A 41-year-old woman died of swine flu at a private hospital here on Friday.

The woman was undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last 14 days following symptoms of fever and cough coupled with bronchial asthma and was under ventilator support, hospital sources said.

She had a difficulty in breathing and reportedly her kidney failed due to consumption of heavy dose of drugs taken before getting admitted to the hospital with swine flu symptoms, they said.

Seven persons had so far died of swine flu since January in the district.
