Andhra mediocs’ strike hits emergency service
Hyderabad: Medical services in all the government hospitals were paralysed after the agitating junior doctors decided to stay away from emergency services.
The junior doctors` association, pressing for a hike in their stipend, among other demands on Friday evening decided to boycott emergency services in all government teaching hospitals.
"The government has not taken any concrete steps to address the issue. We have decided to boycott emergency duties. The government is responsible for this," a representative of the junior doctors association said.

The talks between doctors and a Group of Ministers constituted to look into the issue had failed to break the logjam.
