Autism diet doesn`t improve children`s condition
London: Popular diet thought to help autistic children doesn`t improve their condition, reveals a new study.
The research led by University of Rochester, New York, showed that removing gluten and dairy from the diet did not improve the condition in the 22 youngsters tested.
"It would have been wonderful for children with autism and their families if we found that the diet could really help, but this small study didn`t show significant benefits," telegraph.co.uk quoted Dr Susan Hyman, who led the study, as saying.
The findings will be presented at the International Meeting for Autism Research in Philadelphia.
