But sometimes it becomes difficult for us to reach that level of mental health which may help balancing our life altogether and fading memory adds to the pain.

Hence, here are a few ways to keep your brain healthy and alert:

Eat right: A proper diet is the key to a sharp and attentive brain. Therefore, it's a must to add green leafy vegetables and a lot of fresh fruits to your daily diet as they are rich in antioxidants that prevents brain damage. Fish and dry fruits especially walnut and almonds are said to be great for the Brain health.

Sleep well: Nothing can substitute a good amount of sleep. It has become even more important to get a good undisturbed sleep in today's fast paced life. It relaxes the body and mind.

Avoid stress: Stress prevents easy oxygen flow to the brain, due to which the brain cells begin die. Therefore, it is highly important to manage the stress levels by keeping calm and composed as much as possible. Try deep breathing for immediate relief.

Brain games: There's a reason why it is called so! Brain games help in stimulating the brain cells to act faster. Puzzles, Sudoku, Crosswords, Chess etc., improves concentration and alertness.

Get organised: It's important to have a well organised life in both tangible and intangible terms. An organised surrounding gives a sense of familiarity, that helps in aiding unwanted stress as well.
