Swine flu claims 19 more lives in Rajasthan, toll climbs to 321

19 more people have succumbed to swine flu in parts of Rajasthan in the last 48 hours, raising the toll due to the H1N1 virus to 321 in the state since January one this year, an official said.

Rajasthan has recorded the maximum number of deaths due to swine flu. Out of 5,949 patients tested positive for the virus, 321 people have died so far due to the dreaded disease in parts of the state this year, the official of the State Medical and Health Directorate said today.

Jaipur recorded the maximum deaths with the toll rising to 60 followed by Ajmer 35, Jodhpur 30, Nagaur 27, Barmer 22, Kota 14, Chittorgarh 12, Sikar and Pali 11 each, Udaipur 10, Bhilwara and Churu 7 each, Tonk and Dausa 6 each, Bharatpur, Bikaner, and Jhunjhunu 5 each, and one to four at many places in the state.
