 Swine flu claimed two more lives here today, taking the total number of fatalities in Telangana due to H1N1 virus to four this season.

Hyderabad: Swine flu claimed two more lives here today, taking the total number of fatalities in Telangana due to H1N1 virus to four this season.

Out of the two deaths, one person belonged to Andhra Pradesh and the concerned authorities have been informed, Dr Narasimhulu, swine flu coordinator at the state-run Gandhi Hospital here, said.

A bulletin on swine flu issued by the Telangana government said 101 samples have been found positive between August 1 and September 23 and 16 cases out of 57 tested have been found to be positive for the virus till yesterday.

Sufficient stock of medicines and testing kits are available at all district, area and teaching hospitals, it said.

Citizens are advised to report to a hospital upon suffering from first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, body pains, sneezing and cough.
