New Delhi: The first image that comes to our mind as soon as we here the term 'detoxification' is fasting and simply starving ourselves. But now there is no need to go by the famous phrase “no pain no gain” when one can get the desired results without much efforts. The only pain one needs to take is to swear by a proper diet. Small changes made to our daily eating habits can do wonders without the need to starve.
Here's a list of lifestyle changes that can help us detox the right way:
Drink water: Time and again we have been told to drink plenty of water but we only think of it when thirsty. Though it's the body's way of telling us that we need water but it is recommended to drink at least 7-8 glasses of water a day even without feeling the urge to!
Fruit diet: Make a habit of eating at least one fruit a day. But make sure not to eat it just before and after a heavy meal as it will lead to gastric trouble.
Juice effect: A mix juice of beet root, carrot, apple, ginger and celery (Ajwain) can do wonders for you. Beet root is considered the best detox ingredient as it contains betacyanin, a compound that helps in neutralising and detoxifying our system. It also fights inflammation.
Cooking oil: Choose your oil carefully. Food items cooked in olive oil and unprocessed coconut oil are considered good for our health.
Tea magic: Green tea and white tea have multiple health benefits especially due to the high antioxidant levels in them.
Sweat it out: Daily exercise will not only give you a well-toned figure but will also get you rid of the toxic elements present in your body through sweat.
