Vegetables provides a range of health benefits to the body. They are a good source of nutrition like vitamins, minerals, fiber, and good carbohydrates. They are not only fat free, but their nutrition also helps to prevent cancer and other diseases. They are the most successful weight-loss diets.
Here are some reasons why one should eat vegetables:
1 Boost our immune system:
Juices of the vegetables like carrot, celery, lemon, beetroot and spinach are good for detoxing and alkalising our stomach.
It also helps our immune receptors in our stomach to function properly.
2 Good for eyesight:
Leafy greens vegetables such as spinach, broccoli,green beams, silver beet and brussel sprouts contain rich sources of antioxidants, lutein and zeaxanthin. This antioxidants are good for eyes as it lowers the risk of developing age-related degeneration- a leading cause of blindness.
3 Good for Skin:
Vegetables in a diet is good for skin as it has a high presence of carotenoids, yellow and red antioxidants. It is usually found in fruits and vegetables like spinach, apricots, yellow and red peppers and melons.
4 Prevent diseases:
Eating lots of green vegetables helps to prevent many diseases like heart disease, diabetes, all types of cancer, obesity and many more.
Vegetables contain many ingredients such as antioxidants, flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, and fibre, that can all help ward off disease and keep the cells and organs in our body healthy.
5 Gives Energy
As vegetables are a great source of healthy carbohydrates and carbohydrates, it helps in providing energy to our body and brain. Veggies are always on every diet chart as they help in weight loss and still give you lots of energy.
