Shimla: At least 15 people are feared dead
after a bus fell in to Tissa nallah near Shikari Maur, 45 kms
from Chamba, this morning, police said.
The bus, carrying more than 20 passengers, fell in to the
nallah and all the passengers are feared to have been washed
away in the gushing waters, they said.
Four bodies have been so far recovered, Chamba SP
Madhusudan said, adding an injured man has been admitted to a
nearby hospital.
At least ten people are still missing, he said.
It is not clear as to how many passengers were travelling
in the bus, he said.
The exact cause of accident is also not immediately known.
However, eye-witnesses claim that the bus driver while
negotiating a curve lost control over the vehicle at Shikai
Maur and the bus fell into the gorge.
Deputy Commissioner S Negi and SP Madhusudan have reached
the spot with the relief and rescue teams.
