BJP celebrates completion of 2-years of party govt in HP

BJP on Wednesday celebrated completion of two years of the party government in Himachal Pradesh.

Shimla: BJP on Wednesday celebrated completion of
two years of the party government in Himachal Pradesh.

A state minister accompanied by party leaders attended
the celebration in all 12 districts of the hill state to mark
the occasion.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal attended the function
at Seri Manch in the heart of Mandi town, while state BJP
president Khimmi Ram and state party in-charge Satyapal Jain
were also present at the function at Mandi.

It was on December 30, 2007 that the present saffron
party government under Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had
come to power in the hill state.

Addressing a rally at Mandi on the occasion, Dhumal
listed welfare measures taken by his government during the
period for development of all sections of the society.
He said the state government has enhanced daily wages
from Rs 75 to Rs 110 providing financial benefit of Rs 12,775
per annum to each one of them.

Large-scale work was done in the field of road
construction, power, health and education among others, he
added.

Veteran party leader Shanta Kumar attended the function
at Kangra, while Forest minister J P Nadda was in Kullu and
Irrigation and Public Health minister Ravinder Singh Ravi in
Hamirpur, the home district of the CM.
