Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly will lead a team of ex-footballers against a celebrity XI to be captained by Mithun Chakraborty in a benefit match to raise funds for the star of 1970s Gautam Sarkar.

Kolkata: Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly will lead a team of ex-footballers against a celebrity XI to be captained by Mithun Chakraborty in a benefit match to raise funds for the star of 1970s Gautam Sarkar.
The Mithun Chakraborty XI vs Sourav Ganguly XI will be held at Mohun Bagan ground on Friday, the organisers said on Wednesday.
West Bengal Sports minisiter Madan Mitra promised a contribution of Rs 2 lakh for the player.
The organisers, Sports and Beyond, hope to raise about Rs 10 lakh for the player.
