Keylong and Kalpa in tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur recorded minimum at minus 7.3 degree Celsius and minus 1.8 deg C, meteorological department said.

Solan and Bhuntar witnessed biting cold wave conditions with mercury hovering around freezing point at 0.6 deg in Manali, Sundernagar and Una recorded minimum temperature at 1.2 deg C, 3 to 5 deg below normal while it ranged between 4 and 5 deg at Nahan, Shimla, Mandi and Palampur.

However, day temperature rose by 8 deg at Una to touch 23 deg C and Nahan recorded a high of 21.4 deg C followed by Nahan 19 deg C, Bhuntar 18 deg C, Dharamsala 17.4 deg C, Shimla 16.4 deg C and Kalpa 11 deg C.

MeT office has predicted dry weather in mid and lower hills and rains and snow in tribal areas and higher hills during next 48 hours.
