Himachal: BJP accuses Election Observer of bias

The Himachal BJP has accused Election Observer for Renuka assembly constituency, where bypoll will be held on Nov 30, of acting in a biased manner.

Shimla: The Himachal BJP has accused the
Election Observer for Renuka assembly constituency, where
bypoll will be held on November 30, of acting in a partisan
manner and urged the CEC to recall him immediately.

In a complaint to the CEC, the BJP submitted that on
November 25, Election Observer (Expenditure) Raj Bahadur
Singh, accompanied by Congress workers, "raided" the party`s
office at Sangrah in Renuka.

The officer confiscated election-related documents and
cash, party spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said.

The party`s state unit had urged the Chief Election
Commissioner to recall him immediately, he said.
