Shimla: The Himachal BJP has accused the Election Observer for Renuka assembly constituency, where bypoll will be held on November 30, of acting in a partisan manner and urged the CEC to recall him immediately.

In a complaint to the CEC, the BJP submitted that on November 25, Election Observer (Expenditure) Raj Bahadur Singh, accompanied by Congress workers, "raided" the party's office at Sangrah in Renuka.

The officer confiscated election-related documents and cash, party spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said.

The party's state unit had urged the Chief Election Commissioner to recall him immediately, he said.
