Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has
taken up computerisation of land revenue records to facilitate
speedy disposal of all applications.
The initiative `Gram Nideshika` would help improve the
task of acquiring, storing, processing and retrieving
information, an official spokesman said here today.
Through the `Himbhoomi` software developed for revenue
records, the existing manual system could be computerised.
Land reforms detail, assignment of unique code, online
mutation entry and generation of `Nakal` and `Jamabandi` of
land would be provided to help ascertain the extent of land
under the owner, the spokesman added.
The `Gram Nideshika` would help in entering all revenue
administration-related locational codes likes patwar circles,
Kanungo circles etc into the census information.
Out of 118 tehsils and sub-tehsils, land records of 109
have already been computerised and 95 tehsils and sub-tehsils
have been made on-line.
