Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has
taken up computerisation of land revenue records to facilitate
speedy disposal of all applications.
The initiative 'Gram Nideshika' would help improve the
task of acquiring, storing, processing and retrieving
information, an official spokesman said here today.
Through the 'Himbhoomi' software developed for revenue
records, the existing manual system could be computerised.
Land reforms detail, assignment of unique code, online
mutation entry and generation of 'Nakal' and 'Jamabandi' of
land would be provided to help ascertain the extent of land
under the owner, the spokesman added.
The 'Gram Nideshika' would help in entering all revenue
administration-related locational codes likes patwar circles,
Kanungo circles etc into the census information.
Out of 118 tehsils and sub-tehsils, land records of 109
have already been computerised and 95 tehsils and sub-tehsils
have been made on-line.
