Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Government on Wednesday
decided to re-inspect all educational, vocational and health
training institutes to ensure that mandatory requirements of
infrastructural facilities and faculty are strictly followed
by such centres.

The cabinet decision comes in the wake of complaints
received against institutes which allegedly do not adhere to
the parametres. There were also media reports about alleged
mal-functioning of a private nursing institute at Palampur, an
official release said here.

If any irregularity is found in any institution, action
would be taken against the committee which recommended No
Objection Certificate (NOC) and responsibility fixed against
erring officers, it said.

The cabinet also decided to implement directions of the
Supreme Court over recommendations of Justice Padamanabhan
Committee on release of revised pay scales to officers of
subordinate courts with effect from January 1, 2006.

The government also approved the proposal to regularise
services of contractual doctors appointed by Rogi Kalyan
Samities and induct them into State Medical Services (SMS).
Such medicos would be regularised after serving three more
years, the release said.
