Shimla: The intense cold wave conditions eased marginally in Himachal Pradesh as minimum and maximum temperatures soared in most parts of the state, even as the local Meteorological office warned of heavy rains and snowfall in the region between February 4 to 6.
The minimum temperatures rose by five notches at Keylong to stay at minus 5.9 deg C, five degree above normal while Manali, Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded minimum temperatures at 2.0 deg C, 7.3 deg C and 7.7 deg C, five degree above normal.
Manali, Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded minimum temperatures at 2.0 deg C, 7.3 deg C and 7.7 deg C respectively, five notches above normal.
Solan and Shimla recorded a low of 2.5 deg C and 5.0 deg C, Una, Dharamsala and Nahan recorded maximum temperatures at 8.2 deg C, four degree above normal.
Shimla and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperatures at 12.5 deg C and 20.5 deg C respectively.
Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 25.2 deg C, while Sundernagar recorded a high of 21.9 deg C, followed by Nahan 20.0 deg C.
According to the local MeT department, heavy snowfall and thunderstorm could occur at a few places in higher hills of Chamba, Lahul and Spiti, Kangra, Kullu, Kinnaur and Shimla.
Heavy rains could lash lower parts of Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur, lower reaches of Solan, Mandi, Sirmaur and Kangra districts from February 4 to 6, due to Western Disturbance.
