Kangra (HP): Udhampur MP from Jammu and Kashmir Lal Singh Sunday lashed out at Mulayam Singh Yadav and Laloo Prasad Yadav for playing vote bank politics over OBC issue.

"Samajwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and RJD President Laloo Prasad Yadav are neither poor, nor weak and socially backward but using the OBC card to pursue their vote bank politics," he said presiding over the 471 birth anniversary celebrations of Maharaja Pratap Singh here.

Earlier, inaugurating the function, Union Minister for Steel, Virbhadra Singh cautioned against the divisions in the society and said that India became slave not because it was weak but because of the fact that rulers were divided and joined hands with enemies.

Describing Maharaja as a great patriot, warrior and national hero, Singh asked people to follow his ideals and emulate him to serve the country with dedication.
