Shimla: Power supply was restored in Kullu and Manali areas after seven days, bringing a major relief to the people, reeling under freezing cold wave conditions.
The power supply was restored this evening after repairing the 132 KV line which was damaged near Bajaura in Kullu and all six overhead transmission lines had collapsed.
The State Electricity Board engineers and employees worked round the corner to repair the damaged transmission lines at Nau for six days under biting cold wave conditions and inhospitable terrain, a spokesman of Electricity Board said.
